I don't actually have the GoG version but I know Warlock's rule set came with a pathing utility, which updated a few locations in the program code - the exe and dll files - that was installed by the original installer. If the version installed did not include CD checking before, it still would not. However as I recall Lighthawk (and others) who released later variations included with them them entire copies of the (already WL patched) programs, along with their new resource files. These of course replaced the perfectly legitimate No-CD versions, and since they were taken from the original locked version still have checking enabled, no matter which rule-set you choose to use.I think you can just reinstall the pre-Warlock's exe and dpl files and then repatch with Warlock's Rules.bat. I forget which ones, but there should be a backup TS136 directory from which they're copied if you specify that.Although thinking about it, I'm not sure if Warlock's will actaully have patched the GoG versions, as I expect they were the same as the Medieval Masters set. Would not have mattered to the game running of course, his patches were to change the hard-coded values for things like cost of Defense skill and maximum hero level. If those patches aren't there, you'd probably never notice them being missing. Normally other cracks have separate installer for you so you can mount all 4 at once and just run setup but this one you need to go step by step.
just installed the game, extracted with winrar, mounted with daemon tools copied and pasted the crack over, launch the game, select new game and it gets stuck on the first screen, sitting there looking at an empty room, a text bubble up with nothing in it but a single \anyone having similar issues?
Many of you may know how to download all the music, games, movies, but when it comes to install a game that contain crack or more games in ISO format can be a problem because they are in a virtual form and to work need a virtual drive (daemon tools) and a crack (crack-file officers changed).
I followed exactly the steps you took in the tutorial to install age of empires 2 with daemon tools and at the end when I play it it tells me: "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart apllication" I can't to enter the game, why?
